Just got back from the Salt Lick. They have a new policy of no doggie bags when you order family style. I understand why, I’m sure people loaded up right before leaving. About 18 years ago, they got into trouble for re-distributing the uneaten portions. Hope they haven't relapsed.

Typically, when I have gone out to Driftwood, the third plate of brisket is so tough that I do not want to take it home anyhow..

Thats why when you have to always ask for the "first plate meat".

they also douse the plate with sauce after the 3rd plate. it is almost sauce to hide the poor quality of meat by then.
