3. One look at Texas coach Mack Brown’s career illustrates that he became more successful after his marriage in 1993. Sally Brown is a constant presence around his teams. On Saturday, for the first time in their marriage, Sally didn’t attend a game her husband coached. Her brother died on Friday. After Texas defeated Nebraska, 20-13, Brown got emotional. It was Sally’s birthday and she wasn’t by his side. The Longhorns voted to present her with a game ball.

I found it incredible to learn that Sally hasn't missed a game since she and Mack got married. That's some serious love and devotion.

The most sincere and deepest of respects to Sally, Mack and their families. That woman has done so much for him to make him a better man, person and coach it's remarkable. She is the epitome of what a man would want in a woman from all I have seen and heard. My heart goes out to her tonight. Also to Mack who is pain seeing the one he loves in pain.
