Saab 9-3

Anyone have any comments/remarks about the 9-3? We are thinking about getting one as a weekday commuter.

Seinfeld had a Saab, maybe that's a good sign.

I have a 2002 9-5 Aero, and will probably get a 9-3 Aero next. Personally, I think it's the best Saab ever.

Some folks don't understand the appeal of a Saab, which is understandable on one level, as Saabs are never the top performance car in their class, but I think they have a certain "something" that's undeniable. I like their styling, both outside and in, I like their unusual but quality handling, their motors are more than adequate for commuting, and they're safe.

got to drive a friend's awhile back and loved it. i have always loved saabs and hopefully the first car i buy for myself will be either a 9-3 aero or one of the older viggens. that is unless the 9-3x is out by then.

I don't like the Saab's as much since the US buy in. Smurf got a lemon but that does not mean they all are. My friends mom put over a million miles on her turbo block. I helped replace it because it "started to burn a little bit of oil". Wow. That was not all that uncommon in his shop though. Solid cars if you take care of them. All cars have horror stories but you will find many Saab success stories too.

I am just leary of the inferior American companies buying the Euros out. Hopefully their innovations will come across here and not be watered down by the American companies. But Smurfette loved her car when it was working right. She just got a lemon though, it happens.

I have a 2003 9-5 Arc and love it. I especially love the sport mode you can kick into....it moves. A lot of what I like has already been said. I just think it's a really sharp car inside and out and IMO you get a lot for the money.
