I'm happy with everyone but Cink.

Cink was needed to add some experienced balance to the team. Nothing says he has to play (but he will). He is a very good player: he has four-top 20s in his last four events; won the 2009 British Open; and has a 4-7-4 Ryder Cup record.

I would have picked Couples just for the relaxation factor. AND, the guy can still keep up with the youngsters on tour.

I like the Fowler pick actually. I've seen the kid play (live) and think he can contribute to the team positively. He carries himself like a seasoned veteran with something to prove. I don't think he'll get caught up in the moment of Ryder Cup being a rookie.

I like Fowler because really, what are you going to lose? He could have gone a "safer" route, but I think Pavin was willing to take a bit of a flyer on the young kid to see if he can rise up and provide a spark. If he craps his pants he can be sit down and watch the other guys, which is great experience going forward as well.
