Russian Banya in Dallas

Anyone ever been to the Russian Banya in Dallas? It's actually in Carrolton but close enough to Dallas.

They have three styles of Steam Rooms: Russian, Finnish and Turkish.

Any info would be appreciated.

Ive been to the restaurant that is there. The food was OK, but the service was horrible. That was a couple of years ago when they first opened. The owner seemed like a good guy that was committed to improving. The business used to be a health club and has a lot of square footage. He wants to make it a Russian Cultural center eventually.

Spent 5 hours there this week with my wife. The finish sauna is a dry sauna and about the same as the one at our local 24 Hour Fitness. The turkish sauna (steam) was good but again not worth the trip alone. The Russian Banya was hot!!!! The owner says it's around 200 F and I believe it. I sat on the first bench as close to the door as possible and made it about 2 minutes. I raised my hand above my head and the difference in heat is incredible. Each session lasted a little longer. After about the 5th session, we took the plunge in the 42 degree tank. I see why they have you sign all of the waivers up front. I thought I was going to have a heart attack the first time. The second and third trip to the cold water tank (later in the day) was a little easier to handle. Had a good massage and a few more trips to the Russian Sauna, a good meal and then to the hotel for a great sleep.

Entry fee is only $25.00. The 1 hr massage was $60.00. Meal was about $20.00.

Looking forward to a trip back later in the year.
