I thought those rules were in place last year.

Any more commentary on that bizarre safety/non-safety.

The consensus of the talking heads on tv is that the final call was correct.

What about 'in the grasp'?

He was down in the endzone. Should have been a safety.

have to admit, without bias, we was robbed. Not to mention the missed non-called, plain-to-see penalties which would have profound impact on the game.
My brother (a Tceh alum who has practically nothing good to say about UT) called Sunday to tell me how impressed he was with this team. He commented (unsolicited) on the crappy officiating & dirty Bama play. He said he never expected to see UT get screwed by the zebras at home, but it happened Saturday.

Yep, that’s all it takes.

Interesting. I thought it had to be knee down. Either way, I don't think this play lost us the game. We might not end up with a FG after this punt. That puts us a point down from the final score. If we did get this and the FG, Bama had enough time to get the TD at the end instead of a FG since they were at the 16 yard line. Bama wouldn't have played as conservatively if they knew they needed a TD. Final in that scenario is 24-22.
