Rules Question

I was at that atrocious game on Saturday and noticed something. There were at least 2 BU fouls committed in the double bonus that did not result in us taking free throws. One was a BU charge and I think the other was an over the back while rebounding on our end of the floor. Any idea why this happened? Is there some rule I don't know about the bonuses? As it goes, I think I would rather we have possession than 2 shots, but I'm still curious.

Obligatory "there's no such foul as an 'over-the-back' foul"....

Anywho, the push in the back on the rebound would have resulted in Bonus FT's in either situation because no one has possession of the ball on a rebound. So I doubt that's the play you're thinking of.....

(The above is assuming we're in the Bonus situation. If we aren't, then no FT's will be awarded.)

If the foul is committed by the player that has the ball it is called a player control foul and no FT's are awarded. In any other case Free Throws would be awarded in a bonus or double bonus situation.

What is a team control foul?

I have another question. Do teams always get a delay of game warning? Or does it depend on what they did? I always see warnings when the team on offense holds the ball after a made basket. But not so much on an inbounds play when the defender slaps the ball out of the inbounder's hands.
