Ruffin hurt?

In the bottom of the 7th, Chance came down the right field line and threw while we were at bat. After every throw, he'd grimace, stare at his hand and shake his fingers around.

For some reason, we sent him out to start the 8th and he walked the leadoff hitter on five pitches.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

I was sitting three rows up from where he was throwing and he just has a blister on one of his fingers. He didn't come out b/c he is a tough SOB.

I noticed on TV Ruffin rubbing a right finger with his right thumb, then shake it. He was clearly hurting. Cat sometimes had finger blister problems.

You could tell he had a blister on his hand. Most MLB pitchers are out for a couple of games because of blisters. Chance is one tough player. Great game.

I noticed Chance going to his fingers early in the game and I was worried he was getting a blister, but he worked through it. Kid is a warrior. Hell of a game son!
