I doubt that Irvine will bid for one. The stadium only holds 1000 people before bringing in temp bleachers and there is nowhere near enough media or admin facilities available.

I expect that they'd prefer to travel as a 1 seed.

I was reading on I believe Rivlas and they were saying Irvine doesnt have the best of facilities for hosting. They only had enough permanent seating for like 900 or so. I would think that alone would make it difficult to be a host. I will see if I can find that and post it here.

Alex,

They would travel as a #1 seed and possibly a top national seed. They wouldn't get sent here or to any other national seed. Probably go north or east.

Good nothing made me sadder than Texas hosting in 07 and getting rewarded by getting a top 10 Irvine team (as a #2 seed

) coming into town.

I just heard from a friend at UCI that they will not host on campus. Unless they can cut a deal with some other local school, I'd expect them to be a traveling 1 seed. My guess is they end up someplace like Ohio State, Minnesota or Oregon State.

Many of our opponents have much higher ISR rankings than RPI.

We are 2-2 against top-10, 5-2 against top-30, 7-3 against top-40 and 8-3 against top-50.

Go Horns!! Beat aggy!!! (well first beat the Tigers of Texas Southern, who are really not the southern-most Texas school on our schedule this year!)

Boyd Nation has posted the probabilities for teams to win their conferences.(the second number is the probability of a tie):

Big 12
Texas 46.7 0.0
Kansas State 41.3 0.0
Texas A&M 6.7 1.1
Oklahoma 2.6 0.6
Kansas 1.0 0.9
Missouri 0.2 0.5

Hmmm ... Our RPI has jus moved up to #3 after Kansas State moved from 23 to 19 with two more wins (over BYU) on monday and tuesday which takes their run to 9-0-1 in the last 10 games ...

Now the RPI Needs Report says that we only need a 4-2 to stay in the top-8 ..

I'm so freakin' pumped about the postseason. Can we just take 2 of 3 from A&M, then move ahead in time to Regional weekend?

Alabama A&M and the Big XII "Round Robin" are a joke.
