i have been there twice, but both times was for an oil company info session with an open bar and food on the house. good food, but havent a clue about if worth the price
i would not consider roy's to be a kid friendly place (but then i dont have kids). i think it is kind of a loud and high energy place. very high quality food with some unusual types of fish and seafood, and certainly dishes you wont find anywhere else in town. i think it is a bit expensive for what you get portion wise -- and i am not a huge eater -- my wife and i can often split an app, salad, and entree and dinner at many places. but roy's is nice for a treat. tell us what you thought afterwards.
Somewhat leery about bringing the boy, but he's usually well behaved and they did have high chairs, so we'll have to see. Was thinking of cancelling and just heading to some place in the Rock. Maybe Beluga..
Yeah I did. The food was excellent, the tuna melts in your mouth. Don't bother getting that appetizer boat though. Fried shrimp skewer, dumplings, etc. Not bad, not worth it.
Not a sushi expert, but the sushi was awesome. Quality place. Food portions were small considering the priice, but that's just the way it goes.
