He is very well respected and considered to be one of the top assistants in the NBA.

He was selected as the head coach for South Sudan who stayed competitive with the US Olympic all star team. Ivy led that Sudan team to a 9th place finish which is the best ever for them.

I am glad for you that you never knew any of the Rockets owners.

As far as I know, Jones never stole from a soon-to-be-widow and her three kids while the owner's partner was lying in a hospital bed dying of cancer. Sorry to tell you that the owner was once my friend, whom I helped many times. The man dying was one of the finest human beings I ever met.

I'm friends with someone who grew up with Brandon Mouton in Louisiana, and he states (with a grain of salt) that a cabal of former players communicate on Discord with each other about the woes of Terry and putting together an ad hoc to deal with coach vetting.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ivey was part of this group, but knowing that he's made huge waves in NBA circles, he might try to distance from this.

Also, knowing those guys around Mouton, I can imagine that our next coach isn't going to be a Dan Hurley or Coach K type.

CdC will shock everyone whoever it is. Dare he go back to Collie Station for their coach? I hope not. Hurley coached his *** off last night at Tceh and lost in 2OTs after his two best players fouled out in OT.
