Rose Bowl Travel

Thanks to Big Will and all the other LA Horns for the help.

I've got to find some help in my scenario. My Dad and I are trying to make a quick trip of the game. Our options are to fly into any of the airports. But Burbank (closest right?) is most expensive. SNA and some others are cheaper. What should we do about travel from airport to stadium on the day of the game? We'll get in by early afternoon (1:00-2:00). So we don't want to lose time.

We also want to be able to get out early on Friday. Best way to travel to airport early in the morning?

Thanks again for all the help. Hook'em.

Fly into SNA. Take rental car to downtown LA Union Station. Gold line into Pasadena.

Reverse. Drive back to SNA that night. Get a room near the airport...they are plentiful.

Better than fighting traffic Friday morning to get back to SNA

So if I end up flying into LAX, same plan? Would I need to rent a car to get to the central train station? Decent hotels at the LAX airport as opposed to SNA?

Bigwill:

You commented earlier in the thread to not confuse the downtown Standard Hotel with the Hollywood Standard Hotel.

I am staying at the Hollywood location. Am I in the right one?

Also, BigWill:
You mentioned rental car from SNA to Union Station. Is that better option than just getting on the train at Santa Anna and going to Union Station?
