Barkley's criticism of Durant is that all he does is sit out on the 3 point line and wait for the ball. Then, when he gets the ball he'll usually jack up a long jumper. Kevin does not try to penetrate, and he is pretty much a black hole when he gets the ball.

I love KD, but he's not the same KD that played here at Texas. At least he played some D at Texas. He's yet to assert himself in the NBA on defense.

But he is still a young kid. He'll learn all this stuff, but I guess Barkley is just expecting alot from someone who is soo talented.

According to SI he is the faraway favorite for ROY despite what Chuckie thinks.

That is just Barkley being himself. He played te rough game in the paint and so those players are the ones who are going to get the love. He is now talking trash about Gibson not distributing enough, he just prefers the guys who play physical inside games. These guys don't have the Barkley in your face personality, they will develope thier game and contribute as much as any of these frosh and sophs to their respective teams.

I'm waiting for the LA comments on not being physical inside.

Well admiittedly Durant's year hasn't impressed. He's your average top rookie, he hasn't been awesome like Lebron was

If Al Horford were to finish averaging a double double (which is very possible) he would join Okafor, Howard, Elton Brand, Derrick Coleman, L. Johnson, Mutombo, Mourning, Duncan, O’Neal, D. Robinson and Olajuwon as the only rookies to average a double-double since 84-85.

Combined that he plays a big role on an admittedly bad, but playoff contending team, and you can make a strong argument for Horford to be rookie of the year.
