It seems likely that Ronisha got in the OU game because Cokie had to miss the contest, but she's done a great job these past two games. And she had more rebs than any of our other four posts in the MU contest. I've been saying since pre-season that she just has a knack for being in the right place and grabbing rebounds. She's a fighter and seems to have the attitude that's she going to get her pts and rbs, and woe be to those who try to stop her. I'm certain her lack of playing time was justified, no reason to think otherwise, and perhaps it had to do with things that happened in practice, or not learning the schemes, or even being a bit of a defensive liability. I'm just speculating because I haven't seen any games, but whatever the issues (probably not uncommon for a lot of freshmen), it looks like they've been dealt with. You can just sense that she's going to be a key player for us in the years ahead, and that everyone wants her to do well. I loved in the video highlights of the OU game that the players and coaches all jumped up when she grabbed that steal and ran the full length of court for the put-away. Keep up the good work, Ro'!! I love your fighting spirit, and great job last night!

She made a difference being on the floor these last two games. I am a fan.

I like the way she plays with determination and committment. I also like her name. It's great to have some unique names on the team! She'll know when we're yelling our support!

She does have a great name, and nickname. So many possibilties, like "Let's go Ro", or "Ro' Knows", or Ro' Ro' Ro' your boat (there's gotta be some way to turn that into a basketball phrase!). Or, "Uh-Oh here comes Ro' Ro'", as in what other players are going to say when she steals the ball and takes it downcourt for an easy layup (and you better not get in her way, cause if you do, Ro' is gonna Mow you down). So glad she's a Longhorn and look forward to what the future has in store!

The thing about Ro is she display a good sense of where to be on the floor on the Offensive and Defensive end of the floor. She set a pick and then rolls to post up to score well! She gets out in the passing lanes really well. And can shoot from the Outside.
You go Ro
