Wow. It's happened TWICE before in the other knee?

Talk about PAIN....

My first thought was that extra weight might have had something to do with it, but he was in good shape in '98 (although he had some mystery illness in the WC Final) and '00.

Well he had a pretty good career and can now go back to banging hot models full time.

Sucks, he was always such a joy to watch. I hate for him to go out like that.

It does suck. He was getting started at the same time I first started following soccer. He was a phenomenal player. I also don't think he's quite done. He'll make a run at MLS once he's healed.

I've blown out the ACL in my left knee twice, and both times I've had full reconstruction of the ligament. I can't imagine my "good" knee getting the 3rd injury.

My competitive playing days are over, but I still play in rec leagues. This is my biggest fear.

Getting old sucks.

I also hope he doesn't come. I'm one of the few people that prefers the MLS to any other league. Its finally working its way to legitimacy. I don't think Zidane should come either. I don't want the MLS to be a nursing home for washed up stars.

Unfortunately, I think its almost certain Ronaldo will give it a shot if his knee heals well enough.
