Ron Paul Receives Most Donations from Troops

surprised? i am. i would have expected mccain to come in first because he perpetually uses his military experience to establish his credentials. obama is 2nd, but RP has received more than twice that amount. so, the question is, what do you make of this?

wow, anastasis, did you come up with that on your own? i've never heard that before. ron paul is irrelevant? ron paul has no shot at winning the nomination? he's too old, too crazy, too libertarian? thanks for enlightening me, finally.

somehow our troops don't find him irrelevant. that says something, even if he's out of the race. but instead of thinking about that, we have you to thank, for repeating the mantra of the mainstream media. it's because of people like you that we are going to end up with mccain or obama or clinton as our next president. congratulations.

In his defense, Anastasis has been one of the biggest RP supporters on this board. I still believe he can have some sort of influence, he still standing in there and he's not shutting up. I still hope he runs as an independent and the R's lose some votes. Maybe that'll get their attention... then again it didn't work in '92.

Interesting, because McCain has a son in the Marines and another in the Naval Academy. He's the only one with blood in this deal and was for the "surge" when many ran away and wanted retreat and surrender.

Ron Paul, I've met him like five times, is a great guy. He will be lucky to win his seat in Congress back. He's like Kucinich.

If you don't agree 100% with him you need to get lost. I applaud him for getting the D&D voters out, and pot growers mobilzed, and KKK members voting.

Creepy.

i may have jumped the gun there a bit, anastasis, my mistake, but your comment was pretty dismissive. anyone with common sense knew that RP didn't have a shot from the very beginning, but that doesn't make him irrelevant. and i don't think we should ignore him just because he's out of the race. we need more people like ron paul in politics, and a lot of people feel that way, even though the MSM ignores him.

RP has made it pretty clear he won't run as an independent, but i would love to see it. i doubt he would take away very many votes from the R candidate because what RP supporter would ever vote for mccain?

I take it to mean that supporting our troops and wanting to bring them home are not mutually exclusive as many Republicans would have us believe.
