Romney's 'Lehman' moment

Yep, only Fox News seems convinced that the yellow liquid running down Romney's legs into his shoes is rainwater. I thought John McCain put the best spin on it, saying that Romney should be free at any time to cricize Obama's weakness in leadership.

Yeah, he handled it all wrong. I don't have a problem with him criticizing Obama's response, but he should have waited until the important facts were known. If he had waited, he would have known how to handle the situation regarding the ambassador.

Big surprise, the lame stream media doesn't want a strong President. They like the one with the vagina in his pants, President Boo Hoo.

Even Hilbilery has more balls than throw like a girl Widdle Barry.

So the MSM is more worried about Romney's speech than the actual State Department's response. And Obama decides to jump into the cess pool and criticize as well. Now Obama and the MSM have their next diversion from our crappy economy.

Wanting this to be Romeny's Lehman moment doesn't make it so. Obama ascends or collapses by the the weight last couple of employment reports and the debates. All the rest is chum for the news sharks.

As a lifelong Repuiblican and Romney donor, my reaction is......like it matters.

Romney can't produce a winning argument against a President with 8%+ unemployment, a very unpopular health care package shoved through congress, executive orders like he's a King, and absolutely no new ideas other than new taxes.

This isn't Romney's Lehman moment. This is the story of his political career. He's not a winner. Shut your mouth for 12 hours and you have a slam dunk criticism of Obama tailor made.

I agree with pi.

What the hell has happened to the GOP?

McCain by himself wasn't a bad choice, but Palin? Give me a break. And this cycle's debacle with Santorum et al? With the finalist being Romney?

Get rid of the right-wing evangelicals who think the earth was made 10,000 years ago and that creationism should be taught in public school science classrooms. Get the GOP back to an intelligent party with some common sense. Especially common fiscal sense.

I realize you're quoting someone else, but the incredible misunderstanding of the first amendment frustrates me to no end. It doesn't say that people have the right to say whatever they want without fear of condemnation or rebuke by their fellow citizens. It means that the GOVERNMENT won't fine, jail or otherwise make a law that curtails this right.

So, a US General calling a preacher to 'ask' him to back off, is not the same as the GOVERNMENT telling you that we will take you to jail unless you shut up.

And back to the topic, most media these days are instruments of influence rather than information. That's why Fox and MSNBC always seem to finding stories that indicate "the other side is imploding". The stories are more than speculation, they attempt to lead the audience to believe a stilted version and interpretation of the events.
