I hate that the GOP thought this was the best candidate.

I feel guilty that im going to vote for him only because i think Obama is a horrible president with policies that will eventually put us in the same boat as the majority of europe.

^^^^. Ditto. And I have friends who are physicians who will be retiring early if BO is re-elected. And many others who will refuse to treat patients on Medicare and Medicaid. But, hey!! We're all going to get free care anyway. How could anyone argue with that?

As always, the liberals chime in that Romney is "out of touch", but fail to dig a bit deeper into their own links. Click the link below from the same web page to find the following quote:

"Aside from the revenue impact of not having 58 million Americans pay income taxes, economists worry about the social and political effects of having so many people disconnected from the cost of government—a phenomenon known as fiscal illusion.[1] The concern is that when people perceive the cost of government to be cheaper than it really is, they will demand ever more government benefits because they either don’t feel the cost directly or believe that others will be paying those costs. Indeed, when one takes into account those who do not file, about half of all households pay no federal income tax, making the situation particularly worrisome in a majority-rule democracy.[2]"

In other words, everyone is in favor of robbing Peter to pay Paul, except for Peter. We have reached a point where there are more Pauls in the US than Peters.

The democrats live off fiscal disillusion. We are at cliff's edge with continuing programs we cannot afford. Obama's solution is to tax those of us who already pay even more, while reducing or eliminating the taxes paid at the lower end thereby creating even greater fiscal disillusion.

I challenge those agreeing with the OP to honestly debate the problem rather than chalk it up to conservatives just hating the President no matter what he does.

I'm not sure how any of those statistics are correct. If the country as a whole has 47% that don't pay taxes, how is it that the highest recorded number by state is 44%? For the total number to be 47%, some must be higher and some must be at or lower than that number.
