Romney-Paul?

No, not Ron Paul. Rand Paul. Is it feasible that Romney the nominee would select Sen. Rand Paul as his running mate?

And what would it take for Ron Paul to endorse Mitt Romney?

I can imagine a scenario in which Romney agrees to a few of Paul's key policy demands in exchange for an endorsement from/alliance with the libertarian wing of the party. For example, (1) Promise to audit the Federal Reserve, (2) Agree to make serious cuts in proposed budgets (e.g., throw out a number like $500 billion), (3) Promise not to send US troops into any country without a declaration of war by the Congress. To me, these don't seem like unreasonable promises to make. And they bring sharp contrasts with Obama who (1) actively opposed Fed transparency (and in fact enhanced its authority with Dodd-Frank), (2) gave us the largest deficits in our history, and (3) has sent troops and drones into Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, Congo, and God only knows where else, without seeking or getting approval of the Congress.

Front page of the Washington Post has an interesting story on the Romney-Paul "strategic alliance" :The Link

I still believe it will be Romney-Rubio.

I proposed the issue of Romney-Paul earlier within another thread (it may have been here or on another board). The one reply I got was someone dissenting that they didn't think Rand Paul brought enough experience to the ticket to be seriously considered.

The question I would have is does he make Romney more attractive to Ron Paul supporters? I honestly I have no idea.....no even a gut feel.

Romney-Rubio.

Political parties love to steal what works from the other party.

The dems ran someone with no experience, no legislation success, no business success, and therefore no baggage.

Rubio fits that mold.

They may be friends, which might keep Paul from running as an Independent or otherwise screwing with him in the general election. However, they are way too far apart from a policy standpoint for Ron Paul or Rand Paul to run on the ticket, and it would be foolish for both of them. They would destroy each other's credibility with their supporters. (Like I said in a previous thread on this topic, you're more likely to see Ru Paul as Romney's running mate.)

As for the promises:
