Am I the only one who doesn't give a **** how likeable a candidate is? Maybe it's because I'm not very likeable. I'm not a Republican, but I'd much rather see Romney in office than that loveable, folksy, populist Huckster freak.
Maybe because he's a Mormon, or a PE hotshot, or a multi-millionaire.
I'm not a Romney fan, but having a PE guy in the White House would be pretty cool. He would certainly understand the economy better than any of the other candidates.
A small anecdote: I lived in Salt Lake City in 2002 when the Olympics came to town. There was a lot of dislike for Mitt due to the underhanded things that went down to get the Olympics to Utah. I'm really surprised this hasn't been dug up yet. Maybe the Dems are waiting for the general election, if he gets that far? There's some pretty big skeletons there.
