Romney Manages to Piss off the Brits

Except the person who's mad is Cameron, Obama's buddy. Even Piers Morgan of all people says this is stupid...
The Link

"Mitt Romney was only saying what's been happening, and he's run an Olympics, so I would say he's entitled to speak on it"

Williams asked a question, Romney answered, and he didn't even say anything that bad, just that there were some things concerning security that were troubling.

I'm sure you were all over Obama sending Churchill's bust back when he first moved into the White House.

BI, if you're a libertarian, or independent, then the third option is no better.. your posts remind me of a 4 year old sticking out his tongue behind a tree saying nanny nanny boo boo

Romney needs to understand the proper protocol of returning generations-old gifts and passing out copies of his own speeches.

Oh and reset buttons and apologies. He has so much to learn.

He meant you

And BI - I asked you on another thread why you think that voting for a third party candidate could change things. I really am curious why you see this as such a positive thing.

But in voting for him you are going to have zero input in the election. You are throwing away your vote to make a point that no one really has any influence on. That is certainly your right. I voted for Leslie the cross-dressing transvestite twice for Mayor of Austin, because I thought he was as good as any of the other candidates, but I guess I think this presidential election is too important to waste a vote.

So Romney repeats the problems that the Brit press has been complaining about. Then, the Brit press destroys him for coming over and shitting on their Olympics. Got it.

Why do so many threads turn into an argument with BI over whether or not he's "throwing away his vote" by voting third party?

People who vote third party are not throwing away their vote, because unless an election is a blowout, the parties care how many votes go to third party candidates. If Gary Johnson does well in this election (whether Romney wins or not), the GOP is more likely to reach out to libertarian-leaning voters than it would be if Johnson gets no support.

And for the most part, the parties don't cater to their most reliable supporters. They take them for granted. They'll throw them enough rhetoric to keep them enthused, but they aren't going to go expend large amounts of political capital on them. That's why Obama expends no political capital and does nothing for black voters but will pander to the gays all day long.

The press attacking the more conservative candidate in an election! This is a truly shocking and unprecedented turn of events!

Guess what, it turns out that the Brits have a liberal press as well. Who would have figured?

Mom: "Honesty is aways the best policy."
Lee Corso: "not so fast, my friend"

I'm going with Corso and against Mom when commenting on foreign Olympics. Rommney adressed nothing that I didn't hear expressed with greater concern on what must be the new improved mean-spirited conservative airwaves of NPR. Getting crosswise with the British media shouldn't hurt here at home.

If you watch the interview, he was not disrespectful of the Brits in the least. That is, unless you are a Liberal politician or part of the Liberal press, I suppose.

I was in London several years back on the day of a national election. I recall walking by a newsstand, and I think it was the Telegraph that was in the stand and in letters about 5 inches high, the headline read, "VOTE LABOUR" across the front page. It seems that they don't try to hide their favoritism in the least over there.

Because Obama and team bumbled the Queen's visit, the liberal media is trying the gotcha game, sorry, nothing to see hear, keep trying and making **** up. This will backfire in your face just as Bain has.....

Point taken. I did say that I thought it was the Telegraph. Might have been the Daily Mail. I surely didn't buy the rag.

Romney is a weird dude.

Happy?

I will take the weird dude that is not a socialist. Please God!
