Romney explains to donors why he lost

Not altogether unrealistic. Left unsaid is what he had in store for folks who had given millions to his campaign and PACs supporting his campaign. You gotta look out for the ones who got you where you are and it didn't begin nor will it end with Obama. I've visited with some young single women, and the contraception issue was a much bigger deal to them than I would have imagined, as was fear of having a Supreme Court packed with Republicans.

Hughes could do it too -- then emasculate you while you were bleedin' too much to scream.

It is amazing how tone-deaf he is.

Rather than take responsibility for being a horrible politician (isn't he now one out of four in political races run?) who never held a position he would not instantly renounce if he saw immediate political gain by doing so, he shifts the responsibility to others.

And his comments completely belie the "47% mentality" that he tried to renounce after the video surfaced. What a phony!

This is a letter I found on the internet. Not my words, but sums it all up.

stranger in an increasingly strange land

Romney is deluded. He thinks that the Republicans lost the election, not because they denigrated minorities of every kind over and over, nor because they were on the wrong side of every woman's issue that came up and not because they had a consistent and bigoted party wide disregard of anyone who was not straight, white, Christian or Jewish, rich and ultra-conservative.The Republicans lost because their Party has narrowed their base every election since Nixon's first victory while the Democrats have become more inclusive during the same time period.
Unless the Republicans drop their pandering to the so-called Tea Partiers they will continue to decline until Republicans are a bad memory in the minds of whatever conservative group ends up replacing them.
It is the 21st Century not the 18th. Get in step with the times or get out of the way and let the future come in.
