Romeo's

If you've never had Bruschetta, it's never too late, and Romeos is the place. It is great and the prices are very affordable.

Three words for the diner looking for delicious pasta: BLACKENED SHRIMP _____ (can't remember the last word). The other pastas are okay. But the blackened shrimp is absolutely worth killing for. Start off with bruschetta and a 1/2 liter of chianti (per person of course), enjoy the pasta, and finish off with an espresso and of their Tiramisu's in a glass... You'll end up spending $30+ per person if you go all out, but IMO, one of the better dining experiences in town (except for the wait).[This message has been edited by Chicken Pot Pie (edited 02-07-2000).]

I ate outside on a relatively cold evening, but the heaters provided plenty of warmth. The salads are fresh and flavorful, the pastas are excellent. The chicken in the fetuccini alfredo was a bit subpar, however. The pizza at Romeo's is perhaps the best pizza I have ever tasted. Very chewy yet crispy crust, gobs of gooey melted cheese, and a perfect blend of spices. The Italian Cream Cake and the Tiramisu are both excellent dessert choices. The service is efficient and prompt, but the wait on a weekend night can be dreadful. Also, the parking can be slightly tricky, but a place should be available no more than a couple of blocks away on a busy evening. The atmosphere inside and out are both romantic and cozy, and it is overall a very great place to take a date or friends from out of town.Hook 'em.------------------

My wife & I have been regulars at Romeo's for years. If you don't have to worry about your breath at work, the roasted garlic is fantastic. They serve it to you old world style on a plate with you left to squeeze it out your self onto the toast. It's better than it sounds. The servings are plenty large enough even at the lunch portion. I've had most of their pastas and have yet to be disappointed.A word to the wise, be very careful of the arrabiata sauce. It can do mean things to the unprepared stomach.
