Well the Houston Rockets sure did blow a golden opportunity with a chance for a possible 2 seed in the West. Instead, they blow a 14 pt. 3rd quarter lead and drop to the #5 seed. I guess it's one and done again this year.

They need Yao to come up big against Portland's frontcourt.

It would help if Yao got more aggressive and the ball movement was better when teams front him. The minute the Mav's did that the game changed. However....That being said...It would also be nice if the refs wouldnt allow players to front him and continually foul him in the process. Yao played 35 minutes last night and shot 1 FT...and it's not because he isnt in the lane getting contact.

Hopefully last night was a reminder of what it takes in the playoffs to advance and despite having to go to Portland now we'll take care of business.

I suspect there will be one Texas team in the 2nd round, and that only because it MUST happen thanks to the DAL/SA matchup.

I don't know what it is... the Rockets never have been able to put together the team that they plan to have at the start of the season.

Even so, when I watch them (which isn't often), the ability to close out games consistently just isn't there.

Yao with 24pts and 7 boards at Half against one of the best frontcourts in the NBA on the road. Why do people think Yao is soft? Do they know anything about the game?

oh yes, forgot to mention.

Yao , at this point, 9 of 9 from FG and 6 of 6 from the FT line.
