Rockband 2 question

Got the kids Rockband 2 for Christmas and they are loving it. We definitely haven't figured everything out yet but I do have a question. The box says there are something like 150 songs yet when we load it up we only see 20 or so songs. What are we doing wrong?

you have to play tour mode to unlock them.

or there is a code, but it wont let you save with them, so you would have to enter it every time.

You've got 84 on disc, and another 20 you can download for free. Work the World Tour- keep your eyes open for the "Battle of the Vans". As you open more gigs you'll open more songs.

That explains it. We just been playing in the quick play mode. We'll start doing the World Tour mode from now on.

That brings up another question. How the heck do you download songs? I realize I'm probably asking a question my 5 year old knows he answer to but oh well.

We're on a Wii and we are connected to the internet.

I'm not sure about D/ing songs on the wii, but FYI the quickest way to open up songs is to do some "Challenges" in the band world tour area. Start with the ones available for you, and then when you get one that's a decade (60's, 70's, etc) play those songs, and it will unlock all the songs from that decade. Just work your way up through all the short decade challenges (skip the infinite ones) and you should unlock all the songs a lot more quickly than you would by just playing the world tour.

The download store for Wii is not up and running yet. Sometime in Jan. I think.

According to Kotaku, Harmonix has no set date for Wii DLC, only "as soon in 2009 as possible."

I'm waiting for the Wii store to be up as well. You can see the option for it on the bottom of the main menu, but when you try to access it you'll get a message that no data is found.
