Haven't been to RF since it got changed from Star Canyon. Walked by there a lot during session and special and special and special

, but never ate there. Anyone eaten there at all.

Menu looks similar, although not as Texas "exotic" as Star Canyon was.

I just heard on the radio they are now running $6 lunch specials (assuming that they are trying to compete with Crimson's specials). Thinking about trying it out, but wanted to test the waters.

Additionally the radio ad said they ahve a new special were you get 4 courses for $25. If the food is good, that's one helluva deal.

The $6 deal is happy hour, not lunch.

But their burger is among the best in town. HUGE, grilled, you can actually get it medium rare. With chipotle mayo, and 2 thick slices of peppery bacon, roasted poblano pepper. Not traditional, but it's really damned good.

Great food! Same guys own Eddie Vs and the Happy Hour is awesome forr traffic.
Lunch in the bar is Happy hour pricing and try the burger!

Finally went there last night. I was impressed with the food. I had the four courses for $25. Two others in my party did and two others had the Snapper I believe.

I had a pork type pizza, a pork green chilie soup, vennison and a "molten" type dessert.

All the food was excellent. I would say it has a little less flair than the bygone, Star Canyon, but impressed nonetheless.

The service though was horrible. Our waitress was out-to-lunch and visited the table infrequently. They were exceptionally busy for a Monday evening, but that shouldn't exempt them from having hospitable service. Numerous problesm were evident, but I was dissapointed with that aspect.

I'm going to go again in a month or so and see if things change after the holidays.
