Riverside car mechanic

Hey everyone,

My car's battery keeps dying on me, so I'd like to know of a good, honest (cheap too if possible, I'm a student

A search turned up a thread about 3 years old; just want to know if you guys have anything new to suggest.

Thanks!

Sounds like it's an alternator problem; if you have the wherewithall (and maybe a friend who's mechanically adept), I suggest you remove the alternator and take it the auto shop at Pleasant Valley and Riverside (O'Reilly's?) and ask them to test it. If it's faulty, buy a new one and install it. You should be as good as new for ~$50, and you will save on labor costs and materials markup, which typically run in the $70-$80 per hour range.

Otherwise, the closest options I would go with are either Ben White Automotive or the Dan's Texaco located on the I-35 frontage road just south of Riverside.

i had much better service from the autozone folks. the oreilly's folks were general ******** but autozone picked me up from my albertsons parkin lot, took me to a-zone to buy the battery then came back and actually installed it for me for no extra charge. i was kinda floored by it all.
