Mason Walters was named "Best Feet" for his ability to play center and tackle and given honorable mention "Most Physical". Barrett Matthews got honorable mention for "Strongest Player". Good to see our future LT and TE performing well against top competition.

I am not sure it is known where Walters will play. With Hall and Snow on current roster you wouldn't think there is a need for Walters at OC. However it was near to see such a big dude at the OC position and how he absolutely dominated the line of scrimmage opening up holes.

Coolest thing I saw was when Gilbert was QB, Matthews was out at WR, and the OL had 3 UT guys on it....Walters, Ashcroft, and Kelley. 5 out of 11 offensive players out there were UT commits. Pretty neat.

There's a great need for MW at C. As good as he is, I still don't want him to have to start as a true frosh--unless there are injuries. Hall will be a Sr next yr; with Buck's dismissal, we need to start developing more talent and depth at C immediately. Additionally, the way the staff cross-trains these guys, I would love to see MW settle in at Center and let David Snow kick back out to OG. That's a two or three years down the road of course, but you get the pt.
