read something about him on one of the USC sites and I get the impression he's just looking to get offers from all the heavy hitters.

Seen as a Florida lean for a while and recruited as a LB by most, he's now giving ear to teams that promising a RB spot. Not saying he's not a good kid or not exceedingly talented but I don't see Texas entering the fray on this one.

Hard to imagine we would not offer this guy if he wants us to.

not hard for me to imagine. it could certainly happen - especially on defense. but a lot of stuff would have to happen before our staff took his interest seriously.

there's no question regarding the kid's talent. it's there. i am sure, though, that our staff wants kids who know they want to be longhorns. not that much interest in lukewarm responses. if he really wanted to be a horn, i have no doubt that could happen, but i don't think anyone sees that as being the case.

i just thought it was interesting. but if we ever hear another word about it, i'll be thunderstruck.
