Rivals 150 for 2009

Williams is still probably a little low, although going from #77 to #64 is a heck of a jump.

This is an absolutely loaded class at the top. Guys like Stephenson and Sidney are being penalized for perceived attitude and effort issues, but either one of them could easily be the #1 player in the country, and they're ranked #9 and #10.

Bradley's meteoric rise through the rankings this summer has been astounding. It's going to be good to see him in burnt orange.

If it comes to a choice between boynton or bradley. I'll take bradley, he seems a much better fit with balbay and mason in that he'd be more willing to come off the bench. Plus I'd expect him to be in college for at least two while Boynton may bolt after one. Plus Bradley's defensive aptitude is off the charts.

I think Boynton wants to be a PG.

I'm with you, though. Look, I won't be crying any tears if Boynton comes our way. Frankly, he's a better player right now, especially as a scorer. He's tough as nails, and the kid simply knows how to win. There will be nothing but rejoicing in the SL Xpress household if Boynton commits to UT.

However, I'm with you. I, too, think Bradley is a better fit. He's not the scorer Boynton is, but he's not too shabby, either. His athleticism is off the charts. He's extremely tough minded.

As much as anything, though, I'm leaning towards Bradley simply because Texas has a better shot at him. Boynton has never been to campus. He likes Texas because of what Barnes/Wright and Co. have been able to do with guards like TJ Ford, Royal Ivey, Daniel Gibson and DJ Augustin. However, going against childhood favorites Duke and instate Florida is tough sledding. They'll have to knock the official visit out of the park to have much of a chance. That's possible, obviously, but it's not nearly the virtual slam dunk Bradley is.

Bradley grew up in Texas going to junior high during the TJ Ford years. Texas has always been his favorite team. He came to the Longhorn elite camp and dropped jaws. Rick Barnes followed him around the AAU circuit to make sure Bradley knew he was a priority. If Texas gets his commitment+signature, which I expect, Chris Ogden deserves a lot of kudos for what will be one heck of a feather in his cap on his first real recruiting target. It remains to be seen how it plays out, but I feel extremely confident.

what's the most amazing to me looking at that list is how many will be coming to the Big 12.

talent level in the conference is climbing, which is nice for us hoops fans

And the Aggies are doing well out of state.

I figure the tougher the pond you swim in, the tougher you'll be. Let our rivals take their best shots.
