Thank you hornpharmd. I don't know why Turner dropped either unless maybe since he has decided they wanted to replace with someone undecided to have more interest. Either way I am sure glad we got him.

I haven't heard that there was any communications between Texas and L. Brown, and in fact, the Rivals site is saying he doesn't have an offer from us. Is this something that is actually developing, or are we just making our wish lists?
 
LaDarius Brown will be going to TCU. Just my gut instinct. I wish he'd come to OU, that's for sure.

Turner dropped b/c he isn't as good as initially ranked. Not a real criticism, but he is so raw that he's been pretty disappointing to the scouts at the various camps. I have no doubt he'll be a good player in a few years under Akina, though.

Jesus Shipley made a huge jump, which I'm sure makes all ya'll giddy.

shipley will be something special, just like his brother. they can rate him whatever they want.. we know what we're getting with this guy.

agree on turner. he's a bit raw, but i'd take him over charles jackson, who there is much hand wringing about these days. akina will turn him into a stud.

what national guys do you see OU finishing with? you guys did so well with non-texas OOS prospects this year.
 
Colt Mc Vince has a link on the Malcolm thread where Green was tweeting after the Brown announcement that this is making him look even harder at Texas. Brown says in the article that he won't try to recruit Green, but only because he didn't like it when other recruits did that to him so he won't do it to Green. Green sounds like a real possibility in the article too. Apparently, he & Malcolm only live about 10 miles apart & have become good friends while going to camps together, etc. Teases to a more in depth article tomorrow in SA paper. As huge a get as Brown is, green would still be a significant, significant pickup.
Can you picture him returning punts & kicks???
