RIP Dr. Morris Beachy

For those of you who were ever involved with any part of the music program/department (or anyone else for that matter), please say a prayer for the Beachy family as Dr. Beachy passed away this week. He was the music department's equivalent of Darrell Royal to UT football or Page Keeton to the law school. He served our university well for more than 50 years. RIP, Dr. B.

I was in a couple of choral organizations back in the '70s and I remember Dr. Beachy well. He was a fine gentleman and really knew his stuff. He will be missed.

I was lucky enough to sing with him a couple of times in the 90s. An absolute legend, and too bad he seems not to be remembered much anymore in the choral house that he built.
