Never watched Law and Order, but I loved him in other roles.

He was great in his movie roles and Crime Story should have been on for several more seasons.

Nooooooooooo. Damned good actor. Snatch was one of my favorites for him. For sure Get Shorty.

I loved him. I particularly enjoyed his admittedly over-the-top turn as micromanager (literally) George O'Farrell in Little Big League.

It's not often that someone can have such an abrupt turn in career changes and be that successful.

Rest in peace, Dennis.

He was a very good character actor. I didn't realize he once was a real cop. Loved him in Snatch as Avi.
