F FAST FRED 500+ Posts Dec 29, 2008 #2 The Link Delaney Bramlett was a member of The Shindogs, the house band for the TV music show Shindig! He played bass and sang. Glen Campbell played guitar and sang. James Burton played guitar. Billy Preston and Leon Russell were also members on organ, piano and vocals I can't remember the drummer's name, but they were probably the first rock and roll super group, before there even were super groups. Actress Teri Garr was a dancer in The Shin-diggers. Delaney & Bonnie covering "Soulshake" is a favorite tune of mine and my band still does it. Peggy Scott and Jo Jo Benson had the original record. It's a real butt mover. RIP.

If you don't have this album, I would suggest getting it. Musicians on that album: Bonnie Bramlett: Vocals. Delaney Bramlett: Guitars, vocals. Eric Clapton: Guitars, vocals. Leon Russell: Guitars, keyboards. Dave Mason: Guitars. George Harrison: Guitars. Carl Radle: Bass guitar. Bobby Whitlock: Organ, Keyboards, Vocals. Rita Coolidge: Backing vocals. Jim Gordon: Drums, percussion. Tex Johnson: Percussion. Bobby Keys: Saxophones Jim Price: Trombone, Trumpet, Horns. Some Videos: Comin' Home The Link (Man, Jim Gordon was good. Too bad he flipped out) Getting to Know You So Well The Link You can tell Clapton really "borrowed" some of their style.... RIP
