Very Sad. Giants pass, as well. Elias McDaniel. What a persona, what a master of design and technique, of stylized rock musicianship. He was an original product. I cannot imagine the Ramones without Bo Diddley, and I can't imagine my life without the Ramones.

RIP to a giant pioneer of rock 'n roll.

I walked 47 miles of barbed wire, I use a cobra snake for a necktie
I got a brand new house on the roadside, made from rattlesnake hide
I got a brand new chimney made on top, made out of a human skull
Now come on, take a little walk with me, Arlene and tell me:
who do you love?
who do you love?

Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?

I've got a tombstone hand and a graveyard mind, I'm just twenty-two and I don't mind dyin'
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?

The Bo Diddley beat will never die!!! I Want Candy, Willie and the Hand Jive, Mr. Brownstone (the intro), etc.

He rocked and will continue to be rocked on my stereo. I want one of those rectangle guitars Gretsch makes!!!

When I was a kid my dad took me to see Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley play at the Paramount in Austin. But Bo didn't make it to the show because he'd gotten arrested a few days prior and was still in the joint.

I was hoping to be the first one on here with a "Bo knows.." comment, but someone beat me to it.

RIP, I think his last concert was in Omaha, NE, had a stroke shortly after the gig and never made it back on the road.

One of my original heroes. "Who Do You Love?" is sort of the original gangsta rap...but don't hold me to that 'cause I love Bo...rap, not so much.

Got to see him several times. Took my kid to see him at The Paramount recently. So glad I did that.

I started thinking, wait a minute, Muddy Waters did Manish Boy, but what's the difference from Bo's "I'm A Man"? Well here it is:

Muddy Waters' "Mannish Boy" (originally "Manish Boy") was an adaptation of Bo Diddley's "I'm a Man" and also an answer song, the title being Muddy Waters' take on his younger rival.
