RIP and enjoy your time with the virgins.

Hasn't Al Queda's 2nd in command or field commander been killed over 5,000 times. Every month or two there is a headline to this effect so put your pom poms down boys.

The key point is Hitler committed suicide because of the losses his forces had sustained. The end was near.

Two things....

First, the Hitler-Bin Laden comparison is a stretch. Hitler was leading the Third Reich and commanding his forces throughout most of WWII. It wasn't until the very end that he retreated into his bunker. Bin Laden has been in hiding in the mountains & caves of Afghanistan ever since 9/11. He's basically been neutralized because he can't effectively lead al-Quaida that way -- so his lieutenants have basically been in charge for the past six years. And we've been knocking them out one after another. This last guy is just the latest, and yes, it's something to be celebrated.

Second, our war against Nazi Germany didn't end when Hitler died. For all intents and purposes, it was already over by the time he retreated to the bunker. His death was just a formality at that point -- his war was already lost.

This is what we should be doing. Getting the bad guys, the ones who attacked us on 9/11. I don't think too many would argue with that.
