Rick Perry: Big Oil's 11 million dollar man

Have you seen the price of hair gel and Grecian Formula lately? And don’t even get me started on retail manicure and exfoliation service.

Why would you be surprised that Perry has a lot of donations from oil companies when he is in Texas? I am surprised it is only 10% or so of the total.

Without looking it up, I would guess the Gov of California probably gets a lot of money from tech companies and venture firms.

This is neither surprising nor controversial or even noteworthy as far as I can tell except to a website titled "Think Progress Green"

"Big" Oil.

Perry is big oil, big insurance, big pharma, big manufacturing, big construction, big everything that's bigger than you.

Th HPV vaccine mandate was a remarkably transparent episode of where Perry's interests lie.

I still recall the look on a co-workers face when I told him about what Perry was pushing. His daughter would have been among the first affected by the mandate. I at least had 12 years to see how safe the vaccine was in general use.

In spite of my disdain for Perry, I think he represents by far the most formidable challenge for Obama. Perry's biggest challenge for independent voters would be convincing him that he is not George W. Bush round 2.

I already hate my choices for 2012.

In 2007 the HPV vaccine was made voluntary for incoming 6th grade females in Texas. Perry lost against the state legislature. We know his stance on the issue but when I hear some of these comments it makes me think that some of you actually think the requirement was passed.

Rick Perry: what an ignorant sumbitch, ain't he? wants to repeal 16th Amendment which provides EIGHTY PERCENT of all U.S. Revenues.

Hook'em!!!
