Did anyone else watch this game today? Rice beat MTSU for the Conference USA Tourney title. Rice has been on a roll this season, currently on a 21 game winning streak, 2nd in the country to Baylor and tied with Quinnipiac. Also currently ranked 24 in the country.

Rice has been bolstered by transfers in Nancy Mulkey (transferred from Oklahoma) Nicole Iademarco (from Arizona State) and Erica & Olivia Ogwumike (from Pepperdine, yes the younger sister's of Nneka and Chiney), although Olivia hasn't played much this year, I am assuming she is injured. Erica O. was the Conference player of the year, while Mulkey was defensive player of the year. Mulkey seems to fit in to Rice's system pretty well as she was also named the Tournament MVP and dropped 24 points today. Sorry for babbling, but all this to say, these two teams could have some interesting battles next year.

MTSU will have Rellah next year (assuming she recovers from her ACL injury) and Tennessee transfer Anastasia Hayes, as well as one of Hayes younger sister's who will be a freshman next year.

Doesn't have much to do with our horns, but the obvious connection with Rellah and Big 12 with Mulkey. Also just something to talk about until selection Monday.

What it also says is that another program in the state of Texas is rising, which is a good thing for WBB fans. I'd like to see all the Texas schools be competitive, as long as we could be the among the best of them.:hookem:

I volunteered for that tourney at Jerry Jones The Star in Frisco.
Rice started off slow but came on in second half.
Rice is ranked 24 and if they get a good seed might go a few rounds,
Good for them.

Btw I did not know Nancy was related to Kim. Niece?

No, I don’t think Nancy is related to Kim. I could be wrong, but I think I remember hearing they were not related when she was getting recruited.
