rice @ Texas-Tuesday

i'm hoping it will be on ESPN360 so I can watch it. Texas and Rice are two baseball teams I enjoy watching so that would sit well with me.

I know mizzou's starting staff is wicked, but to lose a midweek game to minny and two of three to tt and only drop 1 spot? I guarantee Augie will have our guys taking pitches in Columbia trying to get deep in the count and run the tigers pitch counts up in a couple of weeks.
 
For the record, we have made FOUR errors so far through 7 innings, and we are wasting some pretty damn good pitching from Chance and others.

This is getting beyond ridiculous. At some point these kids need to learn to play on the turf.

After leading 3-1 after 2 inning, we are now down 3-4 going into the 8th. The mistake that allowed the 4th run to Rice with two outs when the 3B could have easily tagged the runner but instead threw to first which was not dug out, was something that will make any horn fan cry. Come on.

McCrory looks strong out of the bullpen too, but the bats that have been terribly quiet since the 2nd inning, need to come through. Play some small ball or something. Now 3-4 going to bot 8th.

Is lack of practice really an excuse for this kind of fielding? Is it because of the frosh in the lineup?

The northen teams (viz Nebraska) dont seem to be hurting like this and they are operating under the same constraints. Nebraska ever been on pace for 150 errors in a season?

More patience? Grrr.

The potential for this team to be very good, is very very apparent. That is not just talk. It is real. The errors and general lack of confidence in the team coming through, is putting pressure on everybody - the batters, pitchers and fielders. Kyle's slump is really adding to the problem too. It is all just crazy how everything is conspiring together. The way we have got ahead in a few games and have been unable to hold on, is very telling.

We need something good to happen, for a change.

what a weird season.

...but we have some real badasses on this team that are stuck here for at least two more years.

We need some leaders on the team that will call a team meeting between themselves and start working together to get the issues resolved. This is nothing that can't be dealt with,but it needs to start within the team themselves.
