I'm looking to buy a small fuzzy-logic rice cooker as a gift for a friend. One question that I can't find an answer to is, what is the difference between a rice cooker with "steamer" capabilities and one with "warmer" capabilities? I'm thinking of getting the Sanyo 3.5 cup rice cooker/warmer with bread making functions or the Zojirushi 3 cup rice cooker/warmer, but there is another Sanyo 3.5 cup rice cooker/steamer that seems identical to the other Sanyo, minus the bread-making function and replacing "warmer" with "steamer."
I figured that "warmer" and "steamer" were synonymous, but google searches show some rice cookers that are warmers AND steamers. Any idea what the difference is?
Also, any suggestions as to which one to choose? Do the bread-making functions of the first Sanyo take away from the rice making, which is most important to me?
Thanks.
