Retire #12?

Do you think Texas will retire #12 someday and why?

Yes... played for the University for 4 years and he has more wins than ANY college quarterback of all time. You will be hard to find an athlete who was in Austin for 4 years and carried himself or represented Texas better than Colt McCoy. I think it's pretty simple.

Yes, player of the year in college football, two years in a row. I'm a little uneasy about the "winningest quarterback" stuff simply because it is a team game but that is just icing on the cake. As far as being a great kid and representing the University extremely well, that is great but there are a few guys with their names engraved that have some pretty funny stories surrounding their history.

Well deserved. I don't know that I'm in favor of retiring numbers under any circumstance, but Colt's accomplishments are comparable to those of Vince, Earl, Tommy, etc. Or were we talking about Earl Thomas?
