Restoring power after hurricane

I've been patient, and I realize that someone has to be among the last to have power restored. However, I live NW of downtown Houston and haven't seen power since 1am Sept 13th. 16 days ago.

freakin galveston has much of their power restored.

Centerpoint basically makes a repair in the neighborhood and assumes that it fixes the entire neighborhood until everyone calls in again. By then, the crews have moved on. How difficult is it to verify that a dozen blocks are still dark?

I feel ya man. We went 11 1/2 days without power and it got old fast. Thanks to the generator we were able to keep a little bit of sanity. Poor folks across the street from us got shafted and went 3 days longer without power.

14 days - the weather was cool enough that we survived. Thanks to my tailgaiting marine battery and battery operated fans.
