Rest in Peace Bill Little

Bill Little was an amazing writer. Very nice and gracious. Loyal Longhorn to the core.
i can’t forget he helped get us the NC in 63, with him in back of the end zone against the Aggies as a student reporter.

My friend, my confidant, we shared many confidential conversations each of us knowing these things would never be revealed. A straight shooter in a position where "coach speak" was more often the choice. If Bill said it, you could take it to the bank. My life is better for having Bill Little as a friend. Ironically, I called him earlier this week just to "chat", but no answer.

Creek, I looked for a video of his infamous "out of the endzone" call. Old Ags still hold that one against him. A member of The Junction Boys passed earlier this week, but Bob would tell me, "it's our field, nobody is supposed to walk on it, so how did that T-sip get to be the only person behind the endline and make that call".

If you didn't know Bill, I would submit to you that no more loyal Longhorn ever lived. He is leaving a void that no 2-3 people can fill. Thank you for your service and friendship. HOOK EM

I hoped he wrote his obituary in his own style - would be an interesting read.

I talked with him one time over the phone when I had a question about student seating. Great ambassador.

As a press box “runner” for Jones Ramsey in the late 60s, I had the good fortune of meeting and working with Bill for two or three years of Saturdays.

He was an unparalleled ambassador, and his passing feels like an important chapter in many of our lives has just closed.

What a good life lived. R I P. You're going to be missed

Still remember listening to him and Phil Miller call Longhorn road baseball games. After moving to Dallas in 1980 tweaking the radio dial to where I could pick up the station in Austin. Then at sundown... silence.

Miss those days. We'll miss Bill Little

Bill Little called Jim Willenborg out of bounds.
