Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) told a gathering of Democrats, “The bottom line is we’re not broke, there’s plenty of money, it’s just the government doesn’t have it.” Ellison was discussing his ‘Inclusive Prosperity Act’ measure at the July 25th Progressive Democrats of America roundtable in Washington. “People like, George Soros, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Paul Krugman, Joe Stiglitz, Jeffrey Sax, Dean Baker, Robert Poland, Larry Summers have said they all support a transaction tax,” Ellison said. - See more at:The Link

I say to those who pretend they support a transaction tax, SHOW ME THE MONEY.
Until you walk your talk you are just blowing smoke.

The government doesn't have it "yet". Yet is the key word.

If the Dems add the House to their control in '14 and keep the Senate, people like "George Soros, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Paul Krugman, Joe Stiglitz, Jeffrey Sax, Dean Baker, Robert Poland, Larry Summers" better move their money offshore quick and I fear for my 401K and savings.

It is frightening to realize how many people do think one's money is not really their own
just money the government hasn't come for yet.

This is how the Russian Jews must have felt during the progroms.

The dems will come after your last penny. That's what socialists do.

^^ What's it like being naive? Oh....and I've spent time in Seattle too.

Just don't call yourself a "Citizen" or say you bring a ' Brown bag" to lunch
SeattleHusker could come after you for hate speech

dillohorn- I'm saying you paint with the broadest of brushes when you equate Democrats = Socialists. Are there fringe elements in the party? Absolutely. Just as the Republicans have their ideological nuts. I wouldn't make the mistake of painting them all with the same brush though. The world is more complicated than that.

Base on that quote this politician is absolutely in the wrong. I'd like to hear the context of the discussion though.

Remember when you had to hide the fact you had a slobbering love affair with the tenants of Marxism to be a viable candidate for high office?

' I'd like to hear the context of the discussion though."

would you really? Did you go to the link. The context is pretty clear. But I am guessing you really don't want context.
It is Ellison's Inclusive Prosperity Act

if the name of the act alone doesn't give you a clue
here is Ellison's web site
Plenty of context.
