Top guy on offense spends one semester and wins Heisman

Top guy on defense has been there for three semesters before he turns pro.

Could either of these guys even get into Texas?

I'll take a juco who is a late bloomer and/or has pulled himself up by the bootstraps and/or couldn't get into Texas because he went to a top high school and didn't cure cancer over an underachieving 5 star any day of the week.

The last Juco we took was pretty good. I believe it was a TE right before Scafie came in. Don't remember his name but he was damn good. Also wasn't Alfio Randle a juco?

I am not for taking any JUCO's unless they had committed to Texas to begin with.

That committment to the University is very important to me.

That being said, was Aaron Ross considered a JUCO?

I believe Shon Mitchell was a JUCO as well.

Those are the only ones that come to my mind.

Major... I kind of agree with you, I only want guys who want to be at Texas. BUT, I believe we should only take guys who commit by junior high and have UT tats on at least two limbs!

MAJOR .... I agree with you. I only want 5 stars who pledge to UT when they are 5 or younger. THEY REALLY NEED TO WANT TO GO TO UT!!!!

Come on guys. You will turn down a 5 star stud because he went to JUCO or you will refuse to work hard at recruiting a top guy at a position of need because he did not call us first?

Grow up!! 50% of the Rivals top 100 is from SEC country this year, 12% is from Texas. I'll take all the top Texas guys I can get, but I'm not stupid enough to turn up my nose to the rest of the country.l

Randle was a JUCO, but he had originally signed with Texas but couldn't qualify. Went JUCO and they held a spot for him.
