Remodeling/Design Software?

Anybody have any that they like?

trying to decide on making an addition to expand our kitchen and trying to decide whther the cost is worth it. Want to SEE what a remodel would look like and try several different options.

Seems like there is some pretty cool software for this at COSTCO for about $70 that looks like it might do the trick. I need to be able to see how the kitchen will look knowking out a wall and adding a seating bar as well as how that might look with adding on 110- 200 square feet off the back, whcih will take out one of my large oaks in the back as well (one of nine so not too brutal a cosmetic loss).

I am sort of leanign toward just raising the ceiling and dropping in a big bay style window opening rather than the addition which would necessitate changing the roofline and reroofing to make it match.

I am guessing the wife would be happy enough with raising the dropdown ceiling, opening up the wall to add the bar for the kids and buying top end appliances. However I want to SEE how the different ideas will look BEFORE I start tearing the hell out of everything.

I am really torn as to which way to proceed. I KNOW what is easiest, but wonder if any of you can recommend some software packages I can play around with to determine which way to go.

Check the reviews on Amazon. I was surprised to see some "3D" one received better reviews than one of the more-established titles that apparently hadn't been truly updated in awhile.
