Relocating across the country

Hi everyone,

I'm relocating from Austin to Portland, OR pretty soon. I need some suggestions on moving companies, etc. So far I've looked at PODS and Upack. Does anyone else have any other suggestions? Tips? Appreciate it.

i used United movers to go from Austin to NYC. they were good. the first company i was going with had all sorts of problems so i called united at the last minute. they packed up and moved me a couple days later and had my stuff in nyc in a week or so.

how much are you moving? I used an pod-type thing for moving from Austin to SoCal and really, really liked it. But if you're moving a whole house or have a lot of big stuff then I'm not sure I'd do it.

I'm only moving a 1bd Condo. How much did the pod type thing cost you?
