Anyone have any suggestions for a rehearsal dinner in dallas? possibly somewhere downtownish, like in the "west end" area near the arts district. even if it's just a location that we can have catered. i really don't know dallas, if it was up to me we'd all roll over to texas de brazil or some other churrascuria abd let the madness ensue.

^^^^

That's what I'm talking about. I'd love to do a rehearsal dinner at TdB. Just use their banquet room, it's $40 a pop or so, and let the carnage begin.

I think Mattito's on Cedar Springs/Routh (just a block south of TdB) would be really good. They have a separate banquet room that they use for rehearsal dinners and parties. After dinner, y'all can just walk 5 minutes to all the bars in Uptown.

I am going to one in a couple weeks at Matito's. We went and checked it out an they have two or three rooms that they use for private parties of different sizes. I have been to one at Gabreial (?) in the bottom of the Rolex building that was very nice. Also been to a few where people rented out Sammy's BBQ. That is more of a laid back place. You can also rent out private areas and / or the patio at Sambuca.

i'm also going to one at mattido's in june. they have a separate room for it and it's a nice location for a casual dinner. i'd also check out the downtown/uptown sammy's if you want to do it BBQ style.

how many people and how much? the infomart has a cool arboretum. They have a wedding party planner too. They do parties there all the time on the floor of the huge 8 story arboretum and also they have a room on the corner of the infomart on the 7th floor that they rent out for parties that faces downtown D.

They are a bit pricey though. Less than 5k$ and they aren't interested.(what the party planner chica told me over drinks)

If you've got any questions about having it at Sammy's, just PM me. It's a great place to have a laid-back rehearsal dinner. (Since Sammy's is only open for private parties at night, you get the whole place to yourself.)

Hold on. It's the rehearsal dinner. Isn't that up to the groom? I thought the groom arranged and paid for the rehearsal dinner.

Texas de Brazil in Uptown would be the bomb. To the extent you have any vegetarians, the salad bar is great - the girlfriends of my group of guy friends love to go there for the salad bar/lobster bisque/sushi. And the desserts kick ***.
