Regional TV Coverage?

I read a few weeks ago that ESPNU is televising 3 of the regionals, I believe, though obviously at that time they didn't know which ones. I would have to think the Houston regional would be a draw for them, considering that it has two of the most nationally recognizable programs. And I would think Coral Gables would be one they'd be interested in too.

Based on the NCAA's official bracket, the only scheduled regional coverage is on ESPNU from Miami and from Fullerton. No other regionals mentioned. They don't really get going 'til the supers.

No TV coverage this year. CSTV/CBS College Sports isn't doing one.

If I recall correctly, the NCAA does make schools to their webcasts for free during regionals, so I'm guessing the Owl Vision deal should be free for the whole regional.

According to TexasSports.com the game will be covered on their site.

I watched OwlVision when the chopsticks were playing aggy in the Regional, and the broadcast quality was pretty good. Much better than what we saw coming out of OK City this past week! I recommend Owlvision with the sound muted, and Craig on the radio.

I'm hoping beyond hope that 1300 AM Austin does streaming for free again like they did for the B12 Tourney. Nothing against the Rice dudes, but I'd almost as soon listen to Way and Moreland.

HuskerNKingwood:
I was not aware of the free streaming, so I went to the 1300 site and got this message:

"NOTICE
Due to a change in policies with the Longhorn Network, we are no longer able to stream ANY University of Texas sports. Any questions with this decision should be directed to the university.
If you would like to listen to the broadcast, visit the Yahoo! Sports Broadcast."

Dayton-

I saw that too, but then I clicked on the radio link and there were Way and Moreland. It was really weird.

That message has been on the KVET site for a couple of years now (ever since Texas went with subscription-based Yahoo broadcasts). But they still had the Big XII tournament games for free.

Yeah, I always mute the TV and listen to Craig & Keith when the Horns are actually playing on TV. I do that because I think they are a great broadcast team, and you learn a lot more about the players and coaches and why certain calls were made, etc. It's also because so few college baseball games are on television that the TV announcers simply don't know what they are talking about when it comes to the teams and even the college game in general, so it's extremely annoying at times.

I recall one game this year where one of the play-by-play announcers was absolutely shocked that Augie used Jordan Danks to bunt someone over. I think he actually said "I really don't know what Augie is thinking right there." And then when Kyle Russell came up later in the game, Augie called for him to bunt too, and the same announcer said "I bet he wants to hit, but until he gets his average up, he's gonna have to learn how to bunt." And I thought to myself, come on dude, if you had done any research at all on Texas baseball, you'd know exactly why these guys are bunting, and then you wouldn't sound like such a moron.

Where on TexasSports.com does it say anything about coverage? I have looked and cannot find a thing. I sure hope you are right but I cannot find it.
Thanks.
