Regional projections for this week....

Start with Rivals. Five Big 12ers there, 3 national seeds. Texas a #2 at Tallahassee - not a great draw at all for Texas, even though FSU is a Southeast team.

For what it's worth, I don't like Nebraska's draw there either, especially on the second weekend. Cal State freaking Fullerton on the second weekend? Brutal.

SEBaseball has five Big 12ers in as well. Texas a #3 at Coastal Carolina here. Favorable draw in this one for Texas. I hate Nebraska's draw in this one as well - either CSF or Cal second weekend. Brutal.

Two comments:

1. These projections are worthless except for who is likely in.

2. Never think about the second weekend until you've survived the first. (we should know)

The more I think about it, the more I'm content with this team going on the road. I think they'll have more of a fighter's mentality on the road than at home, considering what they've endured. No one will want to see Texas in their bracket, and we have 2 arms right now that are pitching lights out. If you can get to 2-0 in the regional, then you have to like your chances.
 
That Coastal Carolina / St. John's regional in Queens would be a dream come true. No way will they give us that.
 
I'll never forget FSU class when we beat them at their house. UF and Miami fans might talk smack about FSU and their lack of class, but they showed us, especially that guy Mad Cow, how you respect a team.
 
That BA link is prior to the BU series.

I think we're a #2 right now in most eyes. A win in the A&M series would solidify that.
